The LG Decoy with its built in Bluetooth headset has something to hide. You'll do a double–take when you see Verizon Wireless' New Decoy™ by LG, one of the first music phones with a built–in, detachable Bluetooth headset! This is a phone even James Bond would use.

This sleek little slider shows off its stuff with a mirror–like finish and 5–way “joystick” like Directional Key on the front, and a discreet, built–in headset on the back. In addition to enhanced Bluetooth capabilities, you'll also find some powerful entertainment features like a music player, 2.0 Megapixel camera/camcorder and microSD™ memory port. The Decoy a flawless combination of convenience and cutting–edge technology, it's the real deal!

The HTC Raphael Is Now The Touch Pro

Posted by TRONIX in TOUCH SCREENMEMORYHTCHANDSETSGPS

Call it the HTC Raphael no longer. HTC has officially announced the Touch Pro as their newest pocket pc with a full slide out, QWERTY keyboard. The HTC Touch Pro is the successor to the famed Tytn II (which I currently use). The Touch Pro delivers less internal storage then the Touch Diamond at 512MB internal, and 288MB RAM, but a generous 8x more memory than the Tytn II. The unit also has a microSDHC slot, a 2.8-inch VGA screen, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, GPS receiver, and a 1350 mAh battery. As with previous Touch series models, the Touch Pro will also have the Touch Flo 3D user interface, but with Windows Mobile 6.1.

Expect the Touch Pro to be released in Europe by late summer, and Stateside, shortly there after.

.

Samsung Announces Super Fast High Capacity 256GB SSD

Posted by TRONIX in TECHNOLOGYSOLID STATE DRIVEFLASH DRIVEBreaking News

May 26, 2008 - Samsung Electronics announced today that it has developed the world’s fastest, 2.5-inch, 256 Gigabyte (GB) multi-level cell (MLC) based solid state drive (SSD) using a SATA II interface at the fifth annual Samsung Mobile Solution Forum held at the Westin Taipei Hotel. Samsung’s new 256GB SSD is also the thinnest drive with the largest capacity to be offered with a SATA II interface.

Samsung has said that in September of 2008 the 2.5-inch, 256GB SSD should be available and a 1.8-inch version of the 256GB SSD is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Through major advancements in proprietary controller technology, Samsung’s new MLC 256GB SSD, besides being comparable in speed to an SLC-based SSD, also boasts reliability equal to that of SLC SSDs, with a mean time between failures (MTBF) of one million hours, while costing considerably less. Power consumption is also exceptionally low at 0.9 watts in active mode.

In addition, the drive offers a sophisticated data encryption process that prevents data stored on the SSD from being accessed in an unauthorized manner, even after the SSD is removed from the PC.
